ICC World Cup 2016 announced
Ishan Kishan was on Tuesday named commander on the Indian Under-19 cricket group as the squad to play in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2016 was reported. Rishabh Pant was named bad habit commander of the side which has any semblance of Sarfaraz Khan, Avesh Khan, Ricky Bhui, and Armaan Jaffer as the cutting edge players in the 15-man squad. The Indian Under-19 cricket group is falling off a huge win over Sri Lanka as they won the Under-19 tri-country competition in the island country, with the third group being England, and it will be normal from them that they proceed with their great keep running in the competition to be played in Bangladesh. The International Cricket Council (ICC) had announced the schedule of the tournament this month on December 7, declaring that there will be 48 matches in the entire tournament. These 48 matches will be played across four cities in Bangladesh, and at eight different venues. The four cities where the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2016 will be played at Sylhet, Chittagong, Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar.

South Africa and Bangladesh will play the opening match of the tournament, which will last for 19 days. The Super League semi-finals and final of the tournament will have reserve days, and the games will start at 09.30 am local time. The final of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2016 will be played at the Shere-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

The tournament that began in 1988 has been won thrice by India (2000, 2008 and 2012), twice by Australia (1988 and 2002) and Pakistan (2004 and 2006). England won the tournament in 1998, whereas South Africa won the last edition of the tournament in the UAE in 2014.

For the upcoming edition in Bangladesh, India has been placed in Group D alongside Australia, New Zealand and Nepal. India will be playing two warm-up matches — against Canada and their arch rivals Pakistan — on January 23 and 25, 2016.

In the group matches, India will face Australia in their opening match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2016 at Mirpur. Their second match is against New Zealand on January 30, while their final group match is against Nepal on February 1.
