2016 T20 World Cup will started next year but the excitements in the
hearts of the cricket lovers can be seen very clearly. The fans have
already started predicting the results and are looking forward to book
their seats to catch some live experiences. As we talk about the live
experience, the picture of the various cricket grounds appears in our
minds. The tournament will be hosted by India and so everybody wants to
know about the Indian stadiums where the clashes between the teams would
happen. One such stadium is Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association, Dharamshala or HPCA Stadium.

The stadium is located in the city of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, which is also known as the home of the Dalai Lama of Tibet. The fans
would surely love the location as the stadium is situated at an altitude
of 1,457 m (4,780 ft. 2 in) above sea level and is surrounded by
beautiful mountains encrusted with the snow in the background. There are
many obstacles which a fan must face before reaching this splendid
stadium which holds the seating capacity of 23,000- hilly terrains. It’s
also the same reason why HPCA Stadium is the witness to only a few
international matches. During his tenure, Dav Whatmore, the former
director of Indian National Cricket Academy, stated that HPCA Stadium is
suitable for hosting international matches.
The first ODI was played between India and England in January 2013, which England won by 7 wickets. The second ODI was played between India and West Indies on 17th October 2014 in which India beat the West Indies by 59 runs.

The first international match was played between India A and Pakistan Cricket Team in 2005. The first ODI match to be witnessed on this soil was India v England in January 2013. England won the match by 7 wickets. The second ODI match was played on 17th October last year between India and West Indies,
in which the result went in India’s favor as they won the match by 59
runs. It has also hosted one T20 match between India and South Africa
(SA won by 7 wickets), and has also been home to IPL franchise Kings XI
Punjab for some time. Its seems all set for forthcoming T20 World Cup 2016 event.
This tournament would surely give both
the beauty and the performance together, in some competitive matches.
