As the world waits for this competition to take place in India in March, there is a wave of ecstasy hovering over everyone. The venues are another thing that are exhilarating and amusing.

Indian grounds are among the players’ favorites for the treat they give. Among the venues is Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium. Vidarbha Cricket Stadium – T20 World Cup 2016 (Stats)

Vidarbha has seen some finest performances of teams and players. Bailey had seemed to learn the ground’s nature by heart when he struck 156 against India in 2013-14 in ODI. Mitchell Johnson (Australia Cricket Team) too made friends with the pitch with his wonderstruck bowling against New Zealand in 2011 with a resounding figure of 4 wickets for 33 runs. Be it the Kiwis or the Lankans, this pitch has favored all the teams over the years.

Well, we have all the reasons to go insane over T20 World Cup 2016. We can sure hope to see some fast innings and amazing bowling spells, as we inch to the start of the T20 tournament. With the likes of Gayle (West Indies), De Villers (South Africa) and Pakistani cricket player Afridi, anything can happen this game is going to be all the more unpredictable. That’s all about Vidarbha Cricket Stadium – T20 World Cup 2016.

New Zealand Team Squad ICC T20 World Cup 2016
In all its zeal and giddiness the T20 World Cup 2016 will be commencing on March 11 next year. Here we got New Zealand Team Squad ICC T20 World Cup 2016. Fans as well as pundits are bidding on their favorite teams and have started talking about the various possibilities of the tournament. Eyes are also set on the team of New Zealand, who were marvelous in their fabulous performance in Cricket World Cup 2015. Though they couldn’t outplay the Kangaroos in the final, the Black Caps were at their best. This time the Kiwis may surprise many, cause with the team squad they have, it seems like nothing’s out of their reach.

Let’s have a look at who the Kiwis (New Zealand Team Squad ICC T20 World Cup 2016) are bringing along.

Predicted New Zealand Team Squad ICC T20 World Cup 2016

New Zealand Team Squad ICC T20 World Cup 2016:
  1. Brendan McCullum (captain)
  2. Martin Guptill
  3. Kane Williamson
  4. Ross Taylor
  5. Corey Anderson
  6. Luke Ronchi
  7. Mitchell Santner
  8. Nathan McCullum
  9. Trent Boult
  10. Adam Milne
  11. Tim Southee
  12. Doug Bracewell
  13. James Neesham
  14. Ben Wheeler
  15. Colin Munro

Kiwis Team’s Strengths

New Zealand can rely pretty much on their highly effective and impact-full batting line up. With the likes of Guptill and Williamson in the team, the confidence and stability would likely be high, given their recent superb form, particularly in the World Cup 2015. No need to describe their excellent Captain Brendan McCullum’s extraordinary talent and incredibly explosive batting, because when he’s on fire, the opponents just shatter and crumble. Their bowlers are top notch too, Southee and Boult are one pair from hell.

Kiwis Team’s Weaknesses

There is likely no noticeable weakness in the team. But it would be better if the team works on its spinners, who may prove effective game-turners. Nathan McCullum is a choice but at the moment, he isn’t much of a threat. Their over reliance on their Captain can become a liability for the middle order.

New Zealand Team Squad ICC T20 World Cup 2016’s Key Players

Guptill, Williamson and the talisman McCullum are the important team assets. The Kiwis are this time, one action packed squad. Their run in the last World Cup should be enough evidence that they are not to be taken for granted in the coming competition.

Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host the final of the World Twenty20 next year, the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) said on Tuesday.

The 2016 event will be the sixth edition of the popular tournament that began in 2007. The last tournament was won by Sri Lanka in Bangladesh in 2014.

The BCCI named eight venues for the biennial event, which has been staged across three cities in each of its previous five editions.

Bengaluru, Chennai, Dharamshala, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur and New Delhi will be the other venues for the March 11-April 3 event, the board said in a statement.

These venues will host matches subject to fulfilling the prescribed requirements of the ICC and the Indian board while adhering to the statutory obligations that are mandatory for hosting an international match," the statement added.

"With this announcement, we have begun our preparations in right earnest. We want this World Twenty20 to be a memorable experience for our participants and fans.

"I am confident that all the venues nominated will deliver a world class event."

Twenty20 World Cup
England and Pakistan can each lay down a marker for next year's World Cup by winning their upcoming three-match Twenty20 series, says David Lloyd.

The teams face each other in the opener in Dubai at 4pm on Sky Sports 2 this Thursday following England's 3-1 ODI series victory.

With conditions in the UAE expected to be spin-friendly, Lloyd says it gives each side the perfect opportunity to hone their skills ahead of the World T20, which begins in March.

He said: "I think England are going to be very competitive in the World Cup given the way that things have come together in ODI cricket - and then to move it forward to T20. If I was in that England squad or management I'd be very excited.

"I bet Pakistan are also looking forward to the World T20. It's always nice to win and I think this series is going to be played in a great environment.

"The matches have an 8pm [local time] start; there should be full houses. This is a good examination of both teams. "We know what the pitches are like - they are very batsman-friendly. I think both teams have got every chance to show what they can do.

"Shahid Afridi is back for Pakistan - he's as old as me! I think this is a last hurrah for him. He's such an explosive batsman and he's a very good bowler in one-day cricket. He's a real crowd pleaser."

Watch Pakistan take on England in the first of three T20 internationals from 3.30pm on Sky Sports 2 this Thursday.
